Loved the scene. Absolutely loved the kissing, Renly was perfect, Finn was gorgeous but...

To stir the pot, I do have to say that I wasn't very pleased with the writing of this scene. Loras was such a girl. He was completely into it until Renly found his bruise then he was all jealous and upset and cockblocky. That's something a woman would do, let his emotions overrule his desire. Men dont change their mind about sex that easy. It just seemed to me that they wrote the scene from a straight perspective borrowing from experiences from a straight relationship and handed it over to 2 guys to pull off as best as they could. And don't get me wrong, Gethin and Finn did fantastically with what they were given. It just felt like a discrepancy to me.

Both men and women can be rule by their desires.I can tell you by experience that men are not robots starving for sex 24h/24h.I don't know why everyone is so upset with the cockblocking.I was like 'aw don't be like that' one second and then move on.
You're right,men don't change their minds that easily but Loras stops Renly pretty fast (and with a tight grip on his hands) so that could show that Loras is really trying to control himself.

I don't think it's sexist at all. And I never said that women cannot be ruled by their desires or that men are always and purely about sex but in the moment it is unlikely that 2 men will stop over some festering bother. As I said Finn and Gethin did a great job with what they were given. Loras' tight grip a prime example but it still feels like this scene was written from a straight mind and given to a gay pairing with the assumption that they work the same way. It's not the cockblocking itself that bothers just the manner in which it was written.

Yeah it was pretty clumsy,they shouldn't have made Loras so enthusiastic at the beginning :/ and really,he could have let Renly give him a blowjob and then send him to margaery.It wasn't even because he was angry,I forgot that at this point he had already begun to calm down.Let's just say that Loras is bipolar or something lol
